Why an Outside Venue Can Feel Special

A Real PTA Example

After the school stopped allowing discos, the PTA found a local hall for its Halloween disco and received a 10% charity discount. The venue cost about £400 for two nights, which made organizers wonder if the fundraiser would still be worthwhile.
In the end, it brought in around £2,000 in profit. Tickets were £4 and included a drink and glow sticks. The outside space also allowed the PTA to bring in a pizza caterer, use the kitchen for hot dogs, and clean up without feeling rushed because school staff were waiting to lock the building. Free parking helped, too, even though some parents were unsure at first about driving to the event.
